About Us
Established in 2005, Shahmurad Ethanol began its journey with a commitment to producing the highest quality of ethanol through securing efficient and sustainable operations while surpassing international standards. With an initial ENA capacity of 35,000 tons under the capable expertise of Maguin Interis from France, Shahmurad began its first production.
In 2018, Shahmurad Ethanol underwent substantial expansion, doubling its annual production capacity to 70,000 tons. Today, our combined daily production capacity reaches an impressive 270,000 liters (equivalent to 216 tons) per day.
Our Ethanol Production Process
Our commitment to sustainability ensures that every step of our production process is eco-friendly and efficient.
Field to Cane
Our journey begins in the lush fields where sugarcane is cultivated. Harvested at peak maturity, the cane is then transported to our processing facility.
Cane to Sugar
The sugarcane undergoes a series of milling processes to extract sugar. The byproducts of this process are molasses and bagasse.
Molasses & Bagasse
Molasses and bagasse are the valuable byproducts. Molasses is rich in fermentable sugars, while bagasse serves as a biofuel.
Molasses to Ethanol
The molasses undergoes fermentation, where yeast converts the sugars into ethanol and carbon dioxide. This mixture is then distilled to produce high-purity ethanol.
Bagasse to Biofuel
Bagasse, the fibrous residue, is used as a fuel in our boilers, generating the energy needed for our operations.
Wastewater Treatment
The remaining wastewater from our processes is treated in our Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). This ensures that the water is treated and purified, meeting environmental standards before being safely discharged or reused.
